I LOVE (!!!!) that FO sight...

Has anyone tried the Truglo Tritium/FO sights? How would they compare to the PSI? Having tritium would solve the darkness problem.

Personally I don't understand the fascination IPSC people have with Tritium sights; they seem to be perfectly designed for shooting people in the dark - not really something we do... ? My G17 has those sights - I spent 15 min running around in the dark basement with them at the beginning, having fun, before the novelty wore off.

We don't shoot in the dark, and Tritiums are useless in daytime. Getting FO sights would be better, if you want something to really stand out.

Yeah installed my Tritium ghost ring sites today! Hola..they look good. Looking forward to Guelph this weekend.

Here in Alberta the indoor matches during the winter can be very dark. I wouldn't have minded night sights this past March at The Shooting Edge, the rifle bay had a few lights on but all in all it was pretty damn dark.

must be on vacation. Have you called him?

What is this 'calling' of which you speak? There are other methods of communication that do NOT involve a keyboard? Please, man! Speak on. I must hear more of this!:D

I suppose an actual phone call would be the next logical step...

Shooting under cover, in darkness, I could hardly see it, so I wasn't too impressed, but then I moved to the open range, and in the sunlight...

That was what I was referring to. I guess it would depend on what the range conditions are (or what long dark port you're shooting through at the time), but knowing that my sights won't just disappear on me eases the mind if the sights depend on light to work. And the Truglo's are about the same price as the PSIs...I'm just not sure if the FO is equally bright (or big) on both?

Now wouldn't it be nice if manufacturers started stacking a tritium insert buried underneath the fibre optic? Then you get the best of both worlds. Outside; FO all the way. Dark house: Tritium lights the FO and you're good to go.

Maybe I'm missing the point, but isn't that what the Truglo is? From their website:
TFO refers to our patented combination of Tritium and Fiber Optic technologies

The truglo set aren't that well constructed and isn't geared towards competition shooting. The front sights are fat and thick unlike the 0.105" Dawsons. Changing the FO on the Dawson's are super easy, try that with the truglo.

Still, it's a good idea even if poorly executed. Someone will come up with a better mousetrap. I had no idea they even existed.
