I was bored at work so i decided to make a QD mount.

So then I figured I would brag about it on the interweb
I just need to get it phosphated now.
It's 1020 steel. Actual machine time is about 5 minutes total, but i had to design it, program it, and set the machine up and find the material, and go to the bathroom. So maybe 3 or 4 hours for 4 parts. If I was banging out 100 I could definitely cut that time down lol.
The crappy think i found out was that i designed it to fit my 1st gen moe magpul handguard, and i made an extra for my buddy and he has a newer gen moe handguard.......the slots are a different length![]()
for chist sake please don't use tactical if you start a company....And "MALICE TACTICAL" is born!![]()
You selling any of these MALICE?.
for chist sake please don't use tactical if you start a company....
yer nice work, may want to not use 1020 kinda crapy steel, use alum and anozide, much harder and you can machine it
if u use steel use 4041 much nicer to work with and cost effective to get a really quality coating on it, let me know if you need it coated.
I also enjoy the benefits of a machine shop for doodads...it's great. Recently made a new extractor out of titanium just because I could and it was a fun challenge.
The bolt for a .338 bolt action. I should have been more specific.
