I Messed Up My Browning Bar

Hi,

I messed up when I was putting my Browning Bar Mark 1 back together after a thorough cleaning. I put the bolt cocking handle in before pulling back the bolt. Now, the bolt won't rotate out of the receiver, and I can't push the cocking handle forward enough to be out of the grove its in.
I was hoping someone who has a good working knowledge of Browning Bars can give me advice on how to reverse this blunder.

Thank you. I know about the release, but once removed the bolt handle doesn't move forward enough to get out of the grove it's in. This is because the bolt won't rotate out of the receiver enough to allow the cocking handle to clear the grove.

I figured it out. It was the firing pin retaining pin that had drifted out.

Look up browning 308 match …or bar fn fnar disassembly …I used it for my fn ..same rifle
On YouTube
Worked like a charm
