LOL - well she's too late for the fac of course, but excellent news that she wants to get into guns!!!!! :D good for you.
 
well she grew up on a farm and has sort of been around guns. not so much shooting them, but around them. She wants to shoot them more. no problem there! it can be arranged.
 
for the reason she said she wants to get into shooting... you should propose :runaway: !!! That was the plan, no?

Now she bocemes your wife. I'm sure you're a great guy, but I'd like to put in perspective two distinct possibilities for you : here we go:

First she lerns how to use a gun, then how to hunt. I know of a pair that started like this.... the end? she is a waaay better hunter than him, coming home wit a full bag every year. He not only can't keep up, but the whole thing got around the camps where they hunt and he became the mocking stock of everyone.

Second keeping in perspective that marriage proposal,,, do you really want your wife to know how to use a gun? It pretty much means ...that you'll be faithful forever, doesn't it? :p

Just kidding... My wife likes shooting too.
 
Good on you Powder Burner... now if you can keep everything in your name, never get married and have her live at her parents forever you will be set!

I was just happy to find a wife that would understand (read: grudgingly accept) that I would be gone from Sept 1 to Nov. 30 each and every year. Oh, and she will eat everything I shoot except snowshoe hare. Bear is her favorite!!
 
I can still remember when my wife took her courses.

You should have seent he look on the 14 year old boy's faces when she beat them at the hunter's ed course! Priceless! :p :cool:

For the last day of the course we went to a rifle range to let them try a few different firearms.

The two boys wouldn't go near my 375H&H. That is until they watched Christy fire three rounds in a row without any hesitation.:eek: Looking back it wasn't the best thing to give to a new shooter but we made sure they had my shoulder pad on and helped them get all set up for the shot. One was more than enough for each of them.:p

She beat me at the PAL test too:redface: , we both challenged it as I had my license expire on me. I guess I am a better teacher than demonstrator.:(

Congrats man, they are few and far between. I second the motion to get hitched. Get her a ring for Christmas now!;)
 
Get her into both the hunting and shooting sports.Both my wife and daughter
come out each November with me hunting whitetails.The wife shoots a 7mm-08 my daughter shoots a .243 but wants to upgrade to a 7mm-08.Both would like to try an elk or moose hunt in the near future.

Get her a ring and a GUN! Something just for her, not a hand-me-down or previously loved one, but something brand new with good woodwork on it. And have the receiver engraved with something like her initials. In gold leaf.

Wish I had your GF.
 
Ok, so let's sum up the perfect GF,
- she has her PAL,
- loves to shoot guns,
- doesn't want to get married,
- lives at her parent's house.
- they open up a gun/liquor store (whoaa)

Way to go Powder Burner - what a snag.

A couple of months ago, I lamented to my wife that my gun safe was full and I had no place to put this new .270WSM that I just adopted.:( Are you guys sitting down, and please don't take a mouthful of beer just yet. .......She told me I needed a bigger gunsafe.......:confused: Ok, now go ahead, I just wanted to save your keyboard is all.

Actually, I wasn't at all surprised, she has been very supporting of my addiction. I've been a pretty good husband though. Takes two to Tango.

Sooooo, when's the wedding PB??? Can you imagine all the groom's men being local CGNer's
