I need 9mm Bullseye data Please. (And other help)

OK, So I go out and pick up a pound of bullseye. But stupid me, I forgot to check my book to see if it is listed, I figured "its a pretty common powder so it should be in the book".

It wasn't, and I learned a small lesson.

Anyways, I can't return the powder so i gotta use it.

Anyone want to post what their Manuel says the Min and Max loads for a 147gr or even better 147gr cast bullet using Bulls eye is?

nothing in Hornady 7 or speer 13, or the alliant website. Makes me think that Bullseye is probably not a good powder for this application; there's actually a lot of thought and testing that goes into the powders that are listed; especially by the powder manufacturer. If something's not listed, there's usually a good reason
 
My Hodgdon Data Manual # 27 shows a 125 grain lead bullet over 4.9 grains of Bullseye as the max load - it does not give a mimimum.

I love Bullseye powder and load 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP and .30 Mauser with it. It's a lot easier keeping a keg of one type of powder on hand as opposed to keeping a few pounds of several different types on the shelf. Another powder that offers similar versatility is Titegroup. It's been around forever, as has Bullseye, and the burn rates between the two powders are almost identical.
 
Bullseye is not the greatest powder to load with for 147's in 9mm. It's burn rate causes pressure levels to spike FAST with the heavier bullet in 9mm.

I have a bunch of 125 LRN's loaded with 3.5 grains of bullseye and they do the job.

In the Lee manual the only 147gr bullet recipe using Bullseye is for the XTP bullet 3.9min 4.2max min oal. is 1.140

The nearest lead load for 125gr(lead) 4.7min 4.9max min oal of 1.150.

Thanks, I just said screw it and picked up some blue dot which was in my Manuel.

As a related note, how different are cast from jacketed? I thought they were similar but looking at the numbers listed their seems to be a bit of difference.

I loaded up some test rounds with blue dot, 4.2, 4.4, 4.6 and 4.8 grain charges, I stayed well away from the max loads of around 5.7. I am using a Lyman 147g cast bullet, but the charges listed are for jacketed. One thing I have noticed is the bullets is coming very close to touching and I am sure in the 4.8g charges is touching the powder. Is this a problem? The cast bullet is slightly longer then the jacketed one.
 
loa as long as will fit in the mag & chamber without touching the rifling. lead is faster @ any charge compared to jacket. 147 shoots well @ 950 out of a 5", i use 4.0 of 231 for plated & 3.8 of 231 for lead. never used BE in the 9 but it should work ok.
