I have a 1911 colt argentino and some where along the line some jackass made there own wever in the front sight.. this was done by hand and very sloppy job

I am not sure what to do or how much this is going to cost me
When I got the colt yestersday I went to adjust the front sight that was on it and it fell right off I noticed it was a wever sight that had also been filed very bad job its was crooked and bent :)

Can any one restore this for me????

I can send pics to any one who can help.. Unless your a gunsmith who can fix or restore I dont need your input

Please pm me with help

thank you

if you think ARMco is a guy in his basement, I suggest you just give up looking for a 1911 smith

Not what I ment at all by that ...I been told armco I sent them a email Hope they can fix it tho such a waste of a nice slide to wreck it like that

I just ment random people in there basement trying to be a gunsmith I dont need there help at all I need a places like armco in case they cant fix it some one else might be able to

ARWENACE is a professional on this board. Other wise Rodger Kotanko, or Jason Spencer in Ottawa.
Rodger is ht tp://www.darkinternational.com/
Jason is in the yellow pages.

Unless your a gunsmith who can fix or restore I dont need your input

You get it anyway!:D

prproulx: That is info that is useful... I mean like wise crackers saying stupid stuff like just crazy glue a rugger one on... like the fool at wholesale sports said today..What a jack ass "use crazy glue" I just walked out after he said that

In the worst case does any one stamp slides to match the numbers???

If I got a new colt slide but thats my last resort I would like to keep the argentino slide

I have dealt with ArmCo in the past as have my friends (did an excellent job on my buddy's Colt Gold Cup). He is good to deal with. I just sent him my 1970's S+W Mod 27-2 for service and I wouldn't have done so if I hadn't previously dealt with him and been satisfied with the work.

I called armco and we talked.. I sent photos I hope it can be fixed

Does any one know what slide would fit on the 1927 argentino colt 1911 if I have to replace it?
