I need a versamax tactical barrel

They are almost impossible to find, and I believe if you can find one they are $500-600+

I am having my 28" barrel cut down and threaded by Casey at Tacord.

As far as I know, those mossy oak barrels have turkey sights on them instead of vent ribs....

Not ideal for 3Gun....

But, if you can score one of the zombie ones, then you're gold.

Interestingly, Casey indicated to me that all Versamax's are considered 3.5" guns, regardless of what's written on the side of the barrel for the 22's... I suspect this is corroborated in the FRT info...

That's my understanding as well. It's the receiver, not the barrel that dictates 3" vs 3.5" capacity.

The chamber will accommodate 3.5" shells, but Remington found that with certain brands of ammo the shells would deform in the tube when fully loaded during their testing. The FRT might not say anything at all about this though.

This would be awesome, I've got my 28" and would like it a 22"... I'd rather just get a new barrel, I've got a mag extension on mine already, and fits 5 3.5" shells nicely, (wouldn't shoot with them... They're pretty brutal) but if I can get a 22" barrel and not have to modify my extension, then That'd be awesome
