I need AR purchase help

Don't be surprised if you get a Colt LE and it looks scuffed up to sh!t unless that doesn't bother you. I'd add PWS right up there in that list. I'm a sucker for DD as well.

well id rather not get scuff marks, but if it feeds, fires and ejects, hell thats 300% better than my current AR.

ive never heard of pws before mentioned in this thread, not a big fan of quester either so kinda iffy on that one.

Never heard of PWS ie Primary Weapon Systems? You must be new to the AR platform. Just kidding. They made their reputation by having a great, reliable piston system. Now they're going after the DI folks with a little economical offering. The Gun Dealer, SFRC and Al Flaherty carries PWS.

no. Refunds are like unicorns, dragons, and angels, everyones talks about them, everyone wants one, no one ever experiences it. hell i would have settled for a store credit or an exchange but that too is a mirage.
did you ask for them to give you a refund or exchange and they refused?

It is not like this is some other "knock off" brand rifle with such a low price point that problems are a guarantee with every purchase.

CRAFM also sells PWS. I looked them over and they look really nice.
I've spoken to some people who own them and they seem to be really pleased.

I have a Noveske and a Stag and both have been flawless.
The Stag comes with a lifetime warranty and the fit is extremely good.
I've not had a single failure to feed, fire, or eject with it and accuracy is excellent.

Since you already dropped some serious coin I would move towards something that A) Saves money and is B)Reliable as all get out. In this case may people have listed great ideas. I personally would suggest the Daniel Defense line. They are very, very well made and reliable. I have seen and heard nothing but good reviews. I have shot a couple and have since put an order on one for myself. There is no question that a Noveske, LMT, Knights would suit the task, however, on the plus side of a DD is you save some moolah. That is money that can put it into optics or internals that work to your benefit. Proven platform and at a decent price point.

yes ive asked, no refund or exchange. I've given up on the rifle, the retailer and the manufacturer, none of those 3 will ever ever see my cash again. Hey when and if ever it gets fixed, itll be for sale here at a very very good price you can grab it then if you want.

I don't think wanstalls has a gunsmith (unless they send it to that guy in his garage in Langley :puke: ) So I don't know what they would be doing with your rifle.

I wouldn't even trust their gunsmith unless they were a CA certified repair technician. If wanstalls isn't sending the gun back to CA I would take it back and get it fixed by bits of pieces or get it rebuilt by alberta tactical rifle.

Jesus man.

Just build the exact one you want for $1200.

You can assemble an AR15 in your basement from scratch with a small punch (minus barreling the receiver).

I couldn't find anywhere near what I wanted (M16a1 style AR15) so I built one, it works awesome, shoots 2-3" groups at 100 with decent ammo.

Cost me under $1K

What the heck did you have that cost $3600 if you don't mind me asking!?

From what I've read, for accuracy, you need a good trigger, free floated barrel, and a non-chrome lined barrel. If you want longer barrel life, get a chrome lined. Pretty much what I came down to for me. I'll be taking my 3g to a competition on the weekend with some hand loads, so I can let you know how I do with it. At 25m sighting in, it shot pretty nice.

+1 on the DD. My M4V5 runs like a clock. Get it from Wolverine and you get entered into a draw to win another AR, how cool is that. DD has a 100% satisfaction guarantee on their equipment. Wolverine is Canadian the importer and I've never had any issues dealing with them. I think I've sunk about $8K over the last 2yrs with them. Doesn't get better than that. The only upgrade on the DD that's worth it is a Geissele trigger.

For the KAC 18" LPR it's a sub MOA rifle which includes 2 stage match trigger and Krieger barrel.

Add in the ambi features, KAC reputation, our backing of the rifles and 2 KAC armorers on staff........ ;)
