I cant make up my mind on a great coyote call. Any suggestions? How come?

Carlton makes one called a "critter 'gitter"......small easy to use and you can really squeal some distress out of it....they are about $13

Cricket, you should initially not have to spend more than 20 bucks on a preditor call that will get the attention of longhairs. Most inexpensive calls are capable of producing good rabbit/hare distress sounds. More depends on the hunter getting into the right spot, right time of the day and under the right conditions. Download some sounds off the net from various varmint sites (Varmint Al's for one) and practice, practice, practice!!! Believe me, once ya have a fox or yote almost run into ya, it will be so all worth it! If you live in a region like I do here in Manitoba where almost nobody hunts longhairs the whole thing will be all the easyer as well.

I use a Knight & Hale cottontail call. Cheap, simple and effective. Also works on more than just coyotes
