I need help identifying this animal

This animal came through my bear bait station. I don't think it is a deer. The front legs don't look right. I almost think a cougar but it may be too tall. And they are rare here in Ontario.

Can anyone help? Opinions are appreciated.

once heard one case of a bobcat in Ontario, lots of lynx though.

Coloration around the neck and height at the rear hips makes me think Lynx.

Bobcats and Lynx are both only 24inches to the shoulder, and typically have short stubby tails with black on the tip. That being said, the facial marking seem to be similar to both.

I vote bobcat or lynx. Fur is all wrong for a cougar.

That is definately a bobcat, Ive seen some pretty dramatic colour variation just like that one

I think you can see a black tip on a tall, right at the ankle of the left? hind leg ( its in mid stride)

I'm thinking its a bobcat...or lynx. Pretty sure not a cougar

That tail looks pretty long to be a bobcat or a lynx. I say young cougar.
