I need help please.

Hi all,
My name is Reza
I am a new hunter and am dieing to go out and hunt some rabbits around Montreal QC or Ottawa Ont.
I have no idea how to even start.
i have my hunting license in Ontario and i have my rifle.

I desperately want to know where in Montreal or Ottawa I can go and hunt small game.
do i even need tags for small game?


if anyone can help me with some of these questions or is going hunting and doesn't mind if i tag along and learn something, I would GREATLY appreciate it!

You would need a small game permit. You could try LaRose forest near Casselman. I would take you out but this will be my first year trying for rabbits and I have a feeling it would be a case of the blind leading the blind.

Hi Reza,

I live in Ottawa but do all my hunting on private land. My advise to you would be to join a shooting/hunting club around the area you want to hunt. Hunters are friendly people & once they get to know you someone will invite you hunting. I belong to EOHC, & have meet a lot of great guy's there. I'm sure Montreal must also have some hunting clubs.
If you want to go out on your own, Larose forest is a good place to start.
What kind of rifle are you going to hunt with? I find a shotgun best for rabbits.
