Hi,
I need some help because the mag is falling out the M&P between shoots...
It worked well while new and with factory ammo.
Now I'm shooting downloaded 180 gr. ammo in .40S&W, it can be that the reason ? It's not me engaging the mag release lever.
Any help will be apreciated, thanks for looking.

My employer had this problem a year ago. Several training firearms were purchased and sufferd the same malady with inexpesive reloads. The bullet shape and lenght caused it to rub the mag release on the way by. Factory ammo had no problems. Look to the ammo as the cause, then contact S&W if the problem cannot be corrected.
 
Call Smtih and wesson they will have it repaired for free. The first version of these guns had this problem, there is now an upgrade that will prevent this from happening.

Thanks for your useful messages, it looks like the metal engagement tab of the mag catch is much softer than the magazine metal and when the tab wears against the mag during firing, that can lead to mag drop problems.
