I have been looking for some time now and can't find any info on boundries for gun hunting in Ont. I know the basics, no discharging within city limits etc. What I'm looking for are maps with boundries clearly defind including the calibers allowed. I keep getting he said she said stories but don't really trust them. I checked the MNR web site and found nothing, Maybe I didn't look hard enough. I'm in southern Ont. and apparently the rules change for each person/farmer/landowner I talk to. Some help would be greatyl appreciated.

I don't believe such a thing exists.
You just have to read the MNR regs as to zone requirements & then re-search local laws & restrictions.

I live and hunt in the niagara region. Bowhunting,I can go pretty much anywhere around here. When it comes to guns, shot gun hunts are open around here but I have been told that up to a .250 can be used around stevensville, ridgeway, fort erie. The boundaries are pretty confusing. I can use a .22 on the east side of marshall rd. but not on the west etc. I know not all of you will be familiar with the place and road names I have used for examples but any help at all would be great

I think every county has their own by-laws, so I think you must make contact with every county you plan on hunting and get it in writing...I know it sucks but I think such a map you are asking about does not exist...

I've only bowhunted around here and have done all my gun hunting in the north. I would like to start some gun hunting around here but am totally stumped. I wonder if I should contact a bylaw office for the areas I'm interested in?
