Sauer made the Model 1913, Model 1930 and the Model 1938 for the .32 Brng. cartridge. The best of the bunch is the 38-H, made during WW II. It has a modern-style cocking/decocking lever (the first to do so), is double action and was used by the Germans as a secondary standard sidearm. The 1930 that preceded it was a civilian/police pistol and in fact is called the "Behorden" (duty) model. It is a single action pistol of more or less traditional design. The 1913 is simply the earlier type of the 1930. All these pistols are of very high quality. The 1930 gave way to the 38-H because of the effectiveness of the Walther double-action pistols of the 1930s, prior to the introduction of their P-38. Although the PP and PPK pistols of Walther get all the publicity, the 38-H is a better design. I've moved to Canada only recently and don't know the value of these pistols here. Because of the calibre and size, and the fact that only a relatively small number of people can legally buy them, they probably don't have too much value. Too bad. They're all fine pistols.
