I have been following the new 10-22 mag designs closely and I like some of the ideas coming out. I got thinking that I would like to try to add a few features to a stock 25 round 10-22 mag. I think the ideal mag to modify is the TI25 with steel feed lips with either a composite or aluminum body.
I haven't been overly impressed with Butler Creek Steel Lips, one split in two when it fell to the ground, blew right apart at the seam. Otherwise they have all needed work to get them functioning but since they cannot be opened they are harder to fix.
My plan is to replace my BC Steel Lips with more TI steel feed lip TI25 mags. But I want to find some unwanted/nonfunctional mags to try my mods on before butchering my TI25 mags.
I've read many posts on here about people not being pleased with their TI25 mags, people saying they plan to throw them out, etc.
I am looking for members that aren't pleased with the performance of their TI25 mags, failure prone mags, broken mags, and people just wanting to get rid of them.
I don't care what condition they are in, don't care what the feeding related problem is. I need mags that I can possibly destroy while trying my modification ideas.
I have tried a WTB in the rimfire equipment exchange but have had no interest.
My mods I think may appeal to the rimfire guys in this forum so I hope it is OK to post this request here.
