What is a good, durable brand to look for and where should I look? Any idea on the cost? Thanks. :)

just an fyi pharoah, you will lose your sight picture if using a bead sight with this setup. Ghost ring, bbl mount irons or an optic will be needed if you dont have already. I like the lines of the NEA adaptor, of course you will need to buy an AR buttstock and pistol grip to go with it too.

The one you have pictured is a Mesa Tactical LEO Adapter which happens to have an Enidine Buffer on the back.

If you want that exact set up, I would contact:

- DS Tactical
- S&J Hardware
- GP Tactical

These are all Mesa Dealers and can help you get what you are looking for. GP Tactical has them for $330 for the complete kit.

Mesa Tactical is very good professional grade gear. It should not be compared to the cheaper brands like ATI and Tapco. They are not even on the same level.

I will caution you on the Enidine buffer assembly, they do work quite well, but I found it felt funny shooting it for the first couple hundred rounds. Ultimately I removed it from my set up.

No he won't. The low tube mounts (like the one pictured) will easily allow the use of the bead sight. That is what they are designed for. The high tube mount adapters will not allow you to use the bead.

Avoid the Knoxx stock as it'll make your face sore because the recoil is directed up towards the shooter's face.

The Knoxx stock does not direct the recoil back at your face. If one were to read the instructions on the packaging for the knoxx stock it clearly warns you to not place your cheek within one inch of the hump where the tube meets the pistol grip portion because the "hump" will hit you in the face..
step 1- read the instructions
Skip step 1 and you get hit in the face.. just like "Nutnfancy"
I have one of these stock and it works really well , that being said the mesa tactical is a superior system as is the NEA version.

x2 with mine adjusted properly, I had no issues

Yes,he might,I've got the low tube mount and find it hard to get a low enough cheek weld to use the bead properly, higher rifle sights or GRS set would work better with this stock.YMMV.

Adding a pistol grip to a mossberg will make accessing the tang safety near impossible. As for recoil reduction. Learn to shoot and its a non issue.

If you have a fat face or are not placing your head in the correct position you will not achieve a good sight picture. I guess that's the benefit of staying fit and being properly trained.

that was kind of ignorant... everyone has a different face making cheek welds and sight pictures an individual thing. I would hate for the guy to spend good money on something only to find it doesnt work with his current setup.
