I bought this thinking it was just a regular sporterized VZ 24, but once recieved it I realized it has Nazi proofs and a K98k barrel on it. It is all numbers matching except the bolt shroud and cocking piece and they match each other. The heavily sportered k98k stock it came in doesn't match as well. The numbers have obviously been added to most parts to match. You can see the bolt root has been ground and the serial number stamped, the trigger guard number has been partially ground off and stamped over, and the stamp on the receiver doesn't look original either. The barrel is a Geco unit with waffenamt 26 on it. The bolt has a waffenamt 140 on the underside of the root but no Nazi proof on the rear of the root. Waffenamt 1 on the floorplate. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Could it be a G24.(t) that has been reworked at one time?
