I need some help

I just bought an S&W SIGMA .40 cal and am having problems with the slide staying open every few rds. I took it apart and I believe that the spring for the slide stop is broken which lets the stop float around on recoil and lock the slide open. I have searched for an exploded view and parts list with no luck. If anybody can send me a link to a site I would greatly appreciate it,the S&W manual is no help at all.

If you're holding it properly, there's a good chance your thumb is riding up under recoil and tripping it. Try placing your strong hand thumb over top of your support hand thumb while shooting it. This is a common issue with Glocks, M&P's and Sigs - all of which have the same location and general design for the slide release.
