I need some rings!

Been floating on here for a while. Mostly just reading, trying to get it all in. I have a rem 700 300wsm. started doing some hand loads for it, have not got near enough testing in. But over this frozen winter I picked up a vortex pst 6-24, and I am having a hard time deciding on rings... I have no problem investing the 150 or so to mount this scope just wondering what is best for it. Also this rifle is going to be used for some medium distance shooting 3-400 meters.

Seekins, Nightforce, TPS, Badger, USO, Murphy.... Take your pick and whatever fits your budget.

Or you can do the base and rings in one shot with a Near Alpha mount or I believe Nightforce has a similar product.
 
You may have a 50mm objective lens and probably 30mm or 34mm tube. Maybe someone with a Vortex PST can comment on what is working for them.

I have low rings on mine. The bell housing on the scope is about 10mm off the barrel. Maybe slightly less.

The PST Vortex that I have is 30mm diameter, and I believe, as you say 50mm objective.
 
TPS, I find them to be very precisely machined and love the way they don't rotate your scope when you tighten them down. Best $100 ever spent!
 
Depending on barrel profile, you might get away with low rings on a sporter barrel, or a heavier barrel my require medium rings. My PST (4-16X50) sits in 30mm low rings on a Browning XBolt sporter weight 243.

Look at the American rifle m10 rings.

In my mind this is the best rings on the market right now per there design. They have a unique clamping system with one screw, one torque.
They are light weight, you will not scratch your scope, and they are tough as hell.
