i need someone to help me

Perspectives

I know this isn't what you asked for and please don't take it as a lecture.

You have at least three major things going for you. First, you have your dad to be with and I suspect he really likes being with you. Also, he has firearms and is sharing them with you. My dad had an aversion to guns which is common with people who have experienced war. The last point maybe should have been the first; you are YOUNG!

I was 65 before I even held a "real gun" in my hand. Doing so, less than three years ago rekindled a lifetime of looking at guns of various sorts but never having one of my own. Now I have four or five handguns if you count the one in transit. I did have a revolver for a while and really enjoyed shooting it. Many revolvers are superbly accurate pieces of the gun builders' craft.

Semi autos are generally more complex at least on the surface. There is also a huge variety to be enjoyed and fortunately you have a lot of time to do so. For now you may have to learn to enjoy the revolvers more. I would bet that a lot of young men would be happy for the opportunity too.

hi guys, i need as help as i can get. my Dad, (Knott) has a RPAL and only buys revolvers:bangHead:, and i need to convince him to buy a semi-auto. so please, post everything good about semi-autos in the comment section.
it would really help. i would love to take a glock or a m9 out to the range. so please, post pics, the good things about them and why he should buy one.
thank you!

Nope, your Dad is right:D

Just kidding. Be thankful your Dad likes guns too and lets you shoot his revolvers.

I am a dyed in the wool wheelgunner but like semis, as well. In fact I got more semis than revolvers.

Get friendly with guys at your range that shoot semis and get them to let you and your dad try them out. Make it sound like it was your dad's idea to try the semis.

If you reload, pick up the brass for your dad too. Maybe he just hates policing brass as much as I do....that is the main reason I like revolvers.
