Back in the 1980s I replaced the broken windshield on my motorcycle fairing with polycarbonate. Since polycarbonate was used in bullet-proof windows, I took a scrap to the range, propped it up as a target, and returned to the firing line. Before I could shoot, the man in the next lane took a shot with his .45 (it was okay, he was a friend). The .45 left a half-inch deep pit where it hit. My own shot with a .22 LR penetrated.
From that point on I've had a lot more respect for the lowly .22.

In all honesty, I paid 80 for my set.. It feels like too much but I wanted it lol
Pricing out the cost to make mold and cast in like materials, the price is seeming a bit high for a rubber grip.
So would you pay 40 for a set if they were being made?
Or does anyone have cheaper resources that I do lol cause I'd be happy to lend mine and help the best I could

I hate the ones that came with mine so changed them for more ergonomic wood. There was a problem though... I found the magazine release almost impossible to use and the slide release very difficult to actuate. I ended up taking down some grip material near the slide release and adding an extension to the magazine release. Works ok... but the chinese/russian grip is still a bit small in my Canadian hands

How difficult would it be to convert a 1911 to 7.62x25? Would that have to custom built from the ground up like those .357 1911's? That ammo is just so cheap and it's just such a potent round I would gladly buy a quality pistol that used it.
