I dont know much about AR15 parts and I would like to know what parts do i need exactly to mount a "DOUBLE STAR - AR-15 ARFX SKELETON STOCK" to a Ruger SR-22 ?

The stock refer to: Installation requires A-2 buffer tube, buffer, and spring if replacing a collapsible M4-type buttstock.
Can you please help me pointing at the direction (URL) of the right stuff I need or installation kit please ? The good buffer tube, buffer, spring, special TOOLS maybe ?

Thank you guys.. need your help on this one.. i got a lot to learn in the AR department.

I am not professional but I know there's two sizes of buffer tubes, commercial and mil-spec. Also, the SR22 doesn't have anything inside the tube, the AR15 has some kind of spring and buffer inside. Hope this helps a little.

You do not need the spring or buffer. Those are required for an AR15, but are simply added weight and cost on a .22. You need to buy an A2 buffer tube (used with the fixed A2 stock).

Brownells, Ebay, not sure who in Canada has them though.

Not sure about the threads, someone else can chime in on that.

Mil spec and commercial tubes have the same threads. When referencing mil-spec and commercial it is referencing the diameter of the tube.

Fixed tubes, such as the OP needs for his stock, come in 2 lengths. A-1 and A-2. A2 is the correct one for his application (which is what he ordered according to the supplied link).

Spacers and mounting plates also referenced in this thread are only needed when mounting the stock to an AR rifle. Receiver end plates hold/capture the rear take down spring.

Cheers!

thank you for the info guys.. really appreciate your help!

The only challenge left is to find a short lightweight handguard with a picatinny that is the same height as the picatinny on the SR22 receiver... hummmm....

What is the trick.. heat (seam to be glued or something) .. or most likely the right AR tool ?
My GoogleFu said the one on the right is a "castle nut"
