I never much liked Chuck Hawks articles. But you Tikka boys will hate him for this.

Think maybe Hawkes is just jealous that it's a non-American made rifle that shoots sub 1" right outta the box? Or maybe he's pissed off he can't asskiss Tikka into supplying him with "free stuff"...

Personally, I don't care about Chuck Hawkes one way or the other. I make up my own mind as to what I think is good and what isn't. Sure I read up on reviews as an educational tool, but the final decision lies within. I like all the Tikka rifles that I've handled including my M695, and I'm not too sure about the T3.
Yet, I have an article which praises the T3's as the next best thing since sliced bread. Just a person's opinion, no sense getting all fired up over it.

Chuck Hawkes has a B.A. in Political science... and studied international affairs. He has no accreditation in Journalism, Gunsmithing, Firearms or Hunting... Period! He apparently was too stupid to get a job in his field.
He took up plagiarizing other writers works on the Internet and now every flake that can Google gets his nonsense and reads it!

The difference, then, between you and Chuck is that you do not have a BA in political science.

Chuckhawks clearly feels hard done by because the large gun publications don't share his very high opinion of himself.:rolleyes:

While I've sometimes had problems with the various gun rags, in this case, they are 100 per cent correct. :D

Well... I am an accredited Teacher, I am a professional Hunter, and I have many years experience repairing firearms and working in the firearms industry. A lot more than Chuck Hawkes thank you very much.

I have no opinion on Chuck, but one thing that makes me freak out, is when I read any magazine (Rifleshooter, Sport Afield, GWLE, Shooting times...etc), I never see a writer telling people that the rifle/sg he tested is a pos and that his readers should spend their money on anything else but the product they tested...

I've been involved in some pistol testing for my dept. few years ago and i can assure you that there was (is) pos on the market. But I almost never see a writer the courage to say it out loud. Maybe Chuck is dumb, but he got balls....:rockOn: Worts thing I've seen: writers trying to make people swallow that the rem 710 or 770 is a good rifle...:puke: Save your money for a couple of months and by a SPS damn it!

I can't believe that everything is good. But one thing i noticed, is that they often test the rifle in some remote place or in some expensive african buffalo hunt.... Don't know much about Chuck, but they are all «whore» in their own manners...:kickInTheNuts:

The old Remington's (prior to about 1995) were well made rifles. I wouldn't buy any of the new Remington stuff. Don't buy an SPS, save your money and buy one of the older M-700 rifles!

its been said yea T3s are what they are, but looked after Ill take my 300 to any shooting compatition, out of the box cheap and reliable and accurate, wtf more does a guy need other than animals to always agree to stand broadside @ 50 yards haha

All my guns are synthetic plastic or polymer.Does anyone know where i can
get a o/u with a synthetic stock?
