You hear about old forgotten guns found under a pile of junk in the basement but I never thought I would see it happen or get lucky enough to have it handed to me

Thankfully it was in a case (the case in the photo). All I did was give it a good cleaning.

In appeciation I gave my friend a sporterized 303 in return. Odd as it might seem he is as happy as I am.

I have a 1944 Long Branch .22 (the precursor to your rifle). It had 5 rounds through it when I got it, now is approaching 60.
