Picked up a 1912 Winchester 1895 in 30/40 Krag for a great price at a local online auction here.

Stopped by to show the old man.

When I left it was still in his lap.

He claims he's "borrowing it"

Had it less than 3 hours.

Ive lost a couple under the same circumstances to my son, and its worth it.

I gave my 284 to my oldest son and just bought my youngest boy a single action 22 revolver. Their arsenals are bigger than mine! But if they want to shoot I am going to make it happen no matter what.

I have 3 sons that have laid claim to some of my guns. I'm told that I simply can not sell any of those.

I have a few firearms come through every couple of months and I always offer my youngest the pick, normally he just turns me down politely. Recently how ever I had an old , ugly 8mm made in Budapest, strait action, uglier than sin sportized Mouser come in and the kid fell in love with it. Now I understand beauty is in the eye of the beholder but this kid has snuffed model 70's, Reminton 700's, Mosins, Lee Enfields , SKS, you name it. Oh well, now all I have to do is get him reloading his own darn ammo.
