Well, after months of courses, tests, applications, and many weeks of waiting for the government to cut through the red tape, my R-PAL arrived this week with the word RESTRICTED added to the back. Nice to see why they gave me all that room back there.
So I took the afternoon, went to my favourite gun store and said "sell me a Cowboy shooter".

Well, they were out of stock on Ruger Vaquero's and New Vaquero's, so I put my name down, and when they come in the first one in .357 magnum with blued steel is mine!!!!

I'm just 4-12 short weeks from being a SAA shooter!:D

Anyone out there have one of these? Everything I've read tells me it's the most popular SAA out there, as well as one of the most reliable. Anyone have anything to add, correct, or some advice and wisdom to pass on to me? I'm all ears....:)

Despite our repeated calls, they say..." We'll get to it when we get to it"


UGH! Our Pistols have been purchased, paid and are sitting at the store.
This country is burdened by beurocracy!.....I rant. Sorry.....Lucky dog.

I wrotte the test on the 11th of April, sent in the paperwork the next day. Spend 6 weeks impatiently drumming my fingers on the table waiting for the envelope from Miramichi. Nearly jumped outta my skin when it arrived!!!

Rant on, brother... we all share your pain.

What's that saying Heston makes at the NRA speeches??? Something about "cold dead hands"..... :D

Thanks, I did quite a lot of research about this, both on this page and on others that are more Cowboy oriented. Now I'm really looking forward to getting myself out to the range.:)
