I ordered some 10/22 parts

I think I read somewhere that it was suggested to use the factory spring with the VQ extractor. Any idea as to why?

I imagine the factory spring since it is longer is more powerful.... a good 1/8th of an inch longer.

depends on how your gun runs I guess.... I am going to try it with the VQ spring and if it proves unreliable then will switch the springs back around.

Just reading over at rimfire central and it seems everyone DOES use the VQ spring.... the only mention I could find of anyone swapping it out was because they had unreliabilty of extraction.... but later he figured it as the barrel was not centered correctly and extractor was dragging a little.
