I Passed My Core Exam!

Now I get to do all the fun paperwork and running around with it haha.

So if I'm in the Fraser Valley and want to hunt ducks here, I need my FV Special Region tag, along with the migratory bird and basic hunting license, correct? Am I missing anything?
 
If you have the insurance policy number the retailer should be able to process the rest.

And you gotta get your duck stamp from the post office too.

Last year was my first year ever duck hunting. Good times.

You can also get all this stuff online. The FV license through the BC hunting page where you can buy tags and your license, and the duck stamp via a federally run website. The duck paperwork you can print at home immediately afterwards, I haven't bought the FV license so I don't know about that one, hunting tags need to be mailed but they're on special plastic-like paper.

You can also buy duck stamps for others - I bought 'em for two hunting buddies last year because they failed to get them otw to camp and I was coming up a few days later.

Oh, that's good to know! I figure i have to run errands tomorrow anyways, so I may as well do it all in person haha. So, if I do it in person, does my online profile update with my current tags automatically?
 
My friend's 13 year old unvaccinated daughter is being denied the CORE course because of her decision to not be vaccinated.
It's funny.... we let kids decide their genders now but we can't allow them to decide what goes in their bodies?
Apparently the CORE instructor I know personally who has also chosen to be unvaccinated has been told by the ministry that he can not open his CORE courses until he has proof of 2 vaccinations. Sadly that means one less CORE instructor in the Cariboo region.

But hey OP, sorry didn't mean to be a downer..... Congrats on the CORE completion

Your duck stamp and book is your duck tag, basically. Migratory game bird hunting permit. You record your harvests in it. All your permissions are updated on your online profile.

The fv thing is just for insurance purposes because of the discharge near a populated area.

Oh yeah, I get that haha. I was meaning things that you learned as a noobie that i might need to watch out for, or things i should gravitate towards setup-wise, etc. Maybe even a decent public spot accessible by car/foot?

The course is available online now. She will still need to write her test in person but that might be doable without the vaccine in a smaller setting? When I challenged my test it was just me in a room by myself pretty much.

the instructor is not allowed to do the course or the testing till he proves double vaccination. I have heard this from the father of the girl in question but I also know the instructor.
She just needs to take the test, she is a hunter, born and raised on the cariboo lifestyle, As such, there is no tv or internet or video games in the home and the kids dont have smart phones.
Passing the course is not the problem for her, availlability of taking the test as an unvaccinated minor is.
