First I want to thank member " xtrail " for doing the great chrome and gold plating job. It really has to be seen in person to appreciate it.

The gun is a FEG PA-63 with threaded restricted length barrel converted from 9x18 Makarov to .380 ACP. It is an alloy frame copy of the a Walther PP. I purchased rosewood grips for it because the factory grips are right handed and I'm a lefty. After installing the grips it just didn't look right with so many different colours so it was either I anodized the aluminum frame to match the slide or I chrome the hell out of the slide and other black parts and polish the alloy frame. I decided to try really pimping it out and went with chrome. During reassembly I also installed a Wolf spring kit. I also whipped up a little thread protector on my lathe.

And her is a pic of all the parts after they were chrome plated, polished alloy slide and gold plated trigger.

Looks good! Needs maybe a chrome or gold plated fake can on it if it's threaded...
 
Nice job. The three-tone look was kind of ugly.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was it to chrome? I have been wanting to pick up a Star Model B and chrome it, then put some pearl grips on it like Jules Winnfield's gun. Of course then I'd have to find a wallet that had "Bad Mother F*****r" embossed on it...

He quoted me $125 to do the chrome and gold but I gave him $140 because he did such am awesome job. Remember the frame on mine is aluminum so I polished it myself.

All the local ranges are covered and some are indoor like many of the ranges across Canada so no glare issue. Unless your telling us you shoot your restricteds in the bush where sunlight would be an issue.
