I said it would never happen... I bought a Glock...

I hated Glocks.

Then circa 1994 I started to shoot them alot.

G26, G19, G17, G22 & G27.

Currently own a 2nd gen G22.... it would be my "go to" first before any other pistol I own.

Simply put, Glocks work.

I also was in the Glock hater club, however I've recently handled and shot a Glock, and now find myself waiting to sip the kool-aid as my new to me Glock 22 is shipping...

After shooting a Glock 17 and 22, I joined the Glock hater club.

If I can find a used Glock 19 with the stock barrel, I'd go for it.

But those with extended barrels.....no thank-you!

Sorta like riding Jap, when you really know you should have a Harley.;)

I had a G17C and although I liked it, it didn't fit me well. I handled a gen4 a while back and now I want one.

Same, mainly due to friends always talking about how the polymer frames and such are not durable and so on.
Hickok45 changed that though. :D
My experience with Glock's have been very positive, grip feel, recoil (tried various 9mm handguns from Beretta's, Smith and Wesson's, CZ, HK and Sig.) trigger pull and the fact it just felt right sitting in the palm of my hand. And this with a 17 in Gen 3 and 4, and a 34 in gen 3.
So now I'm planning my second purchase of a Glock 17 in either gen 3 or 4.:dancingbanana:

I don't LOVE my G17. I like it and it is an excellent workaday pistol. I love my 1911 and P7 but they can both be finicky at times. The Glock is basic but it works with everything so hard to find fault there. I don't want to be buried with my G17 but in a SHTF situation it would be the first thing I'd grab.

To change the subject slightly, any idea where I could pick up a couple of Glock mag loaders? My pistol came with one which I seem to have promptly lost and I really need one and probably a spare.

As with the others...I said I'd never own one...but recently got a G26 Gen 3 (for the wife...at least thats what I tell myself) :D. Haven't shot it yet...but soon...

Look into the Maglula uploader. Way better than the Glock one IMO. I just sold a gen 3.5 rtf2 G17 and I fully regret it. I keep telling myself that I'll get into a G19 from questar soon ;)

Better off getting yourself an Uplula - then it doesn't matter what you get in future, you'll have the right loader for it.

G34 here and it's been a pleasure to own Thk

A pure workhorse and range slut.

When I asked a neighbour years ago how his Porsche was he said..... "it just works"

I will own an 89 RUF 930 turbo......one day ;)

A Glock was the second handgun I ever bought... I have since owned almost all of them at least once (never at the same time of course).

I currently own a Glock 35 Gen.4 and am waiting for the Glock 20 Gen.4's to be released then I am picking one up ASAP!

:D

A few Glocks ago I also said I'd never own another Glock, but at the end of the day they are the ultimate "best bang for the buck" pistol available in Canada (IMHO).

I was a Glock hater & said i'd never ever buy a plastic gun, then a member at my club let me shoot his Glock 20 in 10mm Auto. It made a lier out of me, now i own a 20SF & likely buy another 20SF shortly. I too am wondering what a gen 4 Glock 20SF would feel like.

I owned a 2nd gen G17, then later a 3rd gen G19. After the 19 I decided that Glocks didn't fit me well either, and wouldn't mess with them again.

I've since bought a G17 gen 4, and find it much more shootable than the previous two. The subtle grip change seems to change the gun completely, and the new mag release is about a 1000% improvement over the older design.

Springfieldover the Glock

I am a big fan of 1911 and steel guns in general. I appreciate how great plymer, striker fire pistols are and I wanted to own one, but glocks are so flippen ugly (imho) I chose the xd9 instead.

I put up a fight for a long time. Then I got a Gen 3 G22. I eventually sold all the other handguns and all I own now is Glocks. I did a complete 180 on the subject and I did eat my words.

When my Gen 3 G22 was the only gun that cycled flawlessly in minus 40, I knew there was a big helping of crow in my future.

Looks is about the last thing I care about in a handgun. The thing spends 99% of its life in a holster anyway...
