I ordered a Norc 1911 from SFRC about 2 minutes ago.

I blame Ruger. I have ordered an SR1911 from a CGN sponsor and after waiting for 9 months or so I needed a .45 urgently! I have a thousand pieces of .45 brass that will go bad if I don't load and shoot them soon.

This is primarily a confession; but if you want to support or shame me, I am open to feedback. If you never hear from me again it is because the wife is standing behind my chair and just found out that I ordered another gun...
 
hahaha be careful man...ordering a Nork could ruin your day...right?
Nork 1911 is a good choice for a cheap and reliable range gun...I like my old Nork Comm because never had problems in more then +5K rnds, my pistol shoot/run like an expensive customized 1911.

Well I have a norc 1911. There I said it.

I also own a HK Mark23.

DOnt be a closet Norc owner. Shoot it !!!! Have fun. Dont get caught up with brand names. And also give ur wife a nice back rub cuz she caught u red handed buying something u 2 didnt agree on.

I laughed when I read this and my wife asked what was up... so I read it to her... now she's joking that she's going to start taking pictures and inventory and comparing it every time she goes into the safe to pull her shotgun out... lol
 
only thing i would change is the magazine. i never had a problem with my norc but one of the cheep mags i ordered with it wouldnt let go of a round . if you pay $40 for a mag no worries if its works you will be happy. the gun functions perfict.
 
A Norc 1911 for a first 1911 is a great idea. Like the 1911 platform, save up for a premier model that'll be over a grand. Don't like it, sell the Norc for minimal lost.
 
I got the Norc 1911 in the mail from SFRC today and I am really impressed at the amount of gun for the money! I love this thing. It is my first 1911, so I have never been spoiled by a better one.

It has been disassembled, soaked in Gunzilla, each part lovingly rubbed down, judiciously lubed and reassembled.

The slide is smooth and the trigger seems great to me. The gun looks fine (pics to follow), there is some roughness internally, but no evidence yet that it affects function.

I will post after a trip to the range this week.
 
I recon i'm just one spare kidney away from another pistol purchase........
And pretty sure it'll be a norc commander, though prob a 9mm..... Doesnt anyone else get tired of sourcing twenty different callibers in bulk or at some saving?....... Burn that ammo, and enjoy......
