I saw some geese today

Spring is finally here!!!! I saw 3 Canada geese today. I heard an old wives tale last year that says there will be 3 more storms after you first see the geese. I guess I'll have to wait and see how that plans out.

Earliest in Winnipeg I have seen geese is Mar 6th last year. I did see 6 mallards last year in January along assiniboine river when I was working on a house.

They don't even bother flying south for the winter around here. I see them all winter long.

We have been seeing some large flocks of geese around here lately which would leave me to beleive that yes indeed the feathery varmints are returning .

in vancouver i don't even think they fly north! too many tourists in stanley park with popcorn...i've been told they taste like butter if you get one.

The wives tale I know is "Three snows after the crow". I take it to mean that spring is here after it snows three times from when the first crow shows up.

I havn't seen a crow yet and we have 2+ feet of snow

In Manitoba this week i have seen crows at the start of the week and then magpies a day later and today i saw a goose... oh ya i love spring.

I saw 4 flying in Winnipeg today, right over Route 90.
