I Screwed Up, and I Knew Better !!!

Geez little wonder I'm getting no answers to my thread. I guess I got to go do a fk up then post it. Looking for answers pre fk up don't seem to draw a crowd. Guess it's the same way a pile more people stop to see a blood and guts accident than those who stop to see a pre celebration happy parade

Cheer up, life's good I swear! ;) And hey, it's Christmas.

If you're talking about your diopter thread on the other heading, you have been answered several times, and you were somewhat less than congenial shall we say, to a poster there..........what do you expect? Besides this thread ain't technical, just arguing about bullet success and failure, and the point of this thread as posted by me, was not to discuss the shot placement, which I think we all agree was somewhat less than optimal, but to discuss the utter bullet failure (IMHO) of the TTSX.
I find it somewhat disconcerting that your posts, on other members threads range from slightly abrasive, to downright caustic.......Why is that? If you have an interesting problem or observation to post, it will receive the attention it will generate, if it is a somewhat contentious issue it may get more attention than you may want. However you sir may wish to look up diplomacy and tact before posting such a thread, because from your previous posts I have read here, I doubt you could withstand the potential criticism and keep your thread from being locked out and you being banned.
You really need to lighten up, this is a hobby, not a competition, and a forum for likeminded hobbyists to have discussion, meet new people with the same interests, and generally waste a bunch of time discussing that which interests all of us. Opposing opinions are part of that process and need to be recognized with appropriate respect, if not agreement.

I've never had positive results from tsx/ttsx. I do believe they have their place with bigger bores 375+. I'll never use them.
I can't believe a rifle of 375 ruger hasn't been recommended for the kid lol.
I read the the thread but didn't see the deer shot by you Doug. Maybe I missed it. I only saw the kids deer. Great height but funny tines. Interesting mount for sure.
Question. Did the kid miss the shoulder and hit the neck or intentionally aim for the neck?
At 60 yards broadside on a still deer the neck shot to me is acceptable. I've done it several times with muzzle loaders. Results were dead right there

Either way a quality experience hunting with your kid. Must be nice to witness his first nice buck
