I shot my M-14 Today, and it is so getting a scope!

I had 25 rounds of Winchesters 150 grain Power Point floating around still. I lined up on a piece of paper at 25 yards and clustered all 5 shots, rapid fire with only my elbow as a rest into one big hole. Then I played with the sights out at 100 yards. My groups moved around the paper with every adjustment, but they averaged 2 inches for 3 shots. I was hoping to save the last 5 to take my rifle for a walk through the coulees. It's the last day of deer season here, but it took my very last shot to zero my sights. Now I have to mount my scope. If it will shoot 2 inches with open sights, (Better than I have ever been able to do before with irons) I have to see what it will do with a little help up top!

I just fired mine today to Holly crap with just open sights i was shooting 5 shot x 1.5 groups at 50 Yds it was Raining and im blind past 25 Yds without a scope.
I was useing Factory Winchester ammo to.
Frist 5 shots was just to get used to the gun then i got to trying to shoot some groups.
Recoil is mild i thought. I could shoot 308 all day with this rifle.

once i get a scope on this Puppy watch out. Im very impressed.
Im gona get it in the USGI stock i bought and get a scope on it.

My Mini 14 looked like a shotgun buckshot pattern at the same distance.
