I should never sell a mold :-)

A few years ago I sold off a Hoch (376310) 38-55 breech seating mold because I had two of them, and my rifles didn't seem to care too much for them. The one I kept is not quite as good as the one I sold as I got it used and a bit abused. Now I have two rifles that really like that bullet.

I hope I remember that lesson for the future.

Here is a target shot yesterday @ 200m. I don't think I'll score a perfect 250 with it for a while as I am not consistent enough with my benchrest technique with this gun, but I'm pretty sure it will get there. It's a CPA Stevens with a #5 weight gain twist RKS barrel in 38-55.

I usually don’t sell moulds unless I find a multiple cavity or a better condition mould. I’ve found moulds cheap that I didn’t have a gun to fit, been glad I did a couple of times. Anytime I have bought reloading lots and found moulds that I already had I always sold the worst one. I believe I have about 130 moulds in my collection. Still looking for something I don’t have. Next purchase will likely be one for 32 Colt from Accurate Moulds. I converted a Stevens Favourite from 32 rimfire.

Yeah it's extra problematic when it comes to molds that aren't available anymore like Paul Jones, or Hoch molds. David Mos made a few more schuetzen molds recently ( CPA Rifles has been stocking them ) but I heard he might have retired again.

I'm going to talk to Steve Brooks and see if he can make me a copy of that mold. I'm sure he can as he's made a few for me in the past.

I might sell off the occasional Lyman mold, but from now on I'll likely keep anything really special.

Rapine moulds were good too.I foolishly sold a Racine 577 Pritchett mould but was lucky enough to find a Rapine Xmas tree mould for my percussion Sharps rifles.Fortunately I was able to replace the Pritchett mould with one made by NOE and now they have gone out of business

Well, taking stock of my situation lately , I have decided to divest myself of most of my bullet molds and sizing bushings for black powder cartridges.
My son does not shoot BP cartridge, he only has a small interest in ML guns.
I do not see me getting back into, so am planning on getting rid of all my .45 molds and stuff.
I will probably even sell most of the 9.3 molds as well.
Too much stuff and not enough time to play with it.......
