I hit a badger with a 1988 Buick Park Avenue. He got up shook himself off and wandered off in to the ditch. These are tough animals. My dad always used the 243 on badgers.

I just got back from a gopher shootin' trip in Alberta and I shot two badgers while I was there. I'll share some pictures that show the size of holes that they dig. The first couple pictures show the biggest pile of dirt I seen from a badger hole while I was out there. This is where the first badger popped it's head out of. I shot both badgers between the eyes with my .17HMR. The first one was a 40 yard shot and the second one was a 60 yard shot - neither one made a move after it was hit.

If you are going to use a . 22 drop one into it's ear. I've never seen one that could withstand that, thats all I ever used.

Very well done, I decided instead of sitting out there all night tonight, I am going to let the trail cam do its job one more night and try to see if i can hammer down the times it likes to come out...... then i hammer it.

Coat your forearm in meat, stick your arm down the hole and see what you can pull out. You might want to bring a bandaid aswell.
