I think i have a serious problem...

You know it's real bad when in the quest to find the "perfect" 9, you have over 200 buy & sell notifications from the CFC in just 1 year, on your desk, to the point of having one of those nice ladies tell you "if you keep this up you had better get a dealers licence! ". It becomes an addiction. Really!!!!

Hello, my name is Gommee and I have an addiction to gunz...

I bought 2 1911's, an AR and a JR carbine since Dec 1/15
I had to buy a 2nd safe to keep all of my toys in.
I don't even want to do an ammo inventory or reloading supply inventory. It scares me to think how much I have stock piled.
I go tho the range every Sunday with a minimum of 400 rnds.
I think I have a problem...
That reminds me, off to the EE...

I currently have 5 lockups and a safe, all are full to capacity, actually over capacity. I have firearms friends are keeping for me as i don't have room. Last count for handguns was in the 98-100 range and rifles and shotguns where in the mid 60s.....

The only problem i can see you have is the chamber flags and key locks....chamber flags take up too much room if you try to store em that way, and key locks are a pain in the arse, i only use combo locks as you can't leave the key at home ;)

Though if your spending your UI on guns, yeah, you might have a problem, go get a job and save the UI for food and rent until you've got a steady income. THEN blow it all, but be aware if you get a good job, at tax time you may end up having to pay it all back. It would suck having to sell that nice start to a collection!

okay... so ive had my R-PAL since 2009 but i have not had a single restricted up until Jan 2016, now i have EIGHT handguns
So you've had your RPAL for ~7yrs now and own 8 HGs. That's 1.14 HG's per year. At minimum you should be at 2.8/yr. You'll be fine….

There is no going back. I set rules for myself initially, saying that once I had filled my gun safe I was done. I've stuck to that and remain at one safe, the same 18 gun safe in fact, but didn't anticipate the trade in. Why have a glock 17, Sig 226, and cz 75 when you can sell them all and get a P210? Why not trade that Buckmark in on a S&W 41? It's going to be a financial loss, but all hobbies are. Still cheaper than smokes, booze, hookers, and blow. At least this one gives me quality items to pass on to my daughter.

yep. i know where the OP is coming from. I have a wack of rifles, and am going for my RPAL next month.... Ive been holding off cause iKNOW ill be buying and buying. I have my sights set on an H&K P7 for my first 9mm and an H&K USP .45.... and we'll see where it goes from there, oh, and I will NEED a GSG 1911 .22 and.....

I like your tastes... My first self purchased restricted was an HK P30L.....

Got my rpal a few years ago as I inherited a couple and just wanted to own them above board..... Decided this year to pay the extra 40 bucks at the club for the indoor membership.... What a great at to help stave off cabin fever!.... Between that, ice fishing and coyote hunting I am set.... Definitely a few more on the way...

I won't make the same mistake I made with rifles though..... Will buy quality from day one.....

bought 2 today and are on the way, a P226 clone and a Glock 22, i dont even know why i bought them.... i already have 2x handguns in 9mm and another in .40,
granted the glock 22 was $699 brand new gen 4, im not sure anyone can beat that price in Canada, shipping was $15 Xpresspost, the G22 can help his older XDm 40 brother out in consuming the stock of .40SW ammo i have
but still, totally unnecessary
best reason i came up with for getting the p226 clone? to eat the crappy 2000x rounds of steel ammo the SFP9 and the Jericho 941 doesnt want to eat, turns out i bought a gun to accessorize my ammo...???

now out of all that, i have an excuse to buy more hard cases, trigger locks, ammo, chamber flags, arrrg never ending!

If you have avoided buying handguns until now even though you have an R-PAL..... DONT! its a slippery slope, and the second the wave catches you, its all over! RUN AWAY WHILE YOU CAN!

It is a very serious problem indeed. Funny you should say 8 handguns, same with me. My one hard and fast rule is don't buy a new gun unless you have cash in hand after all the bills are paid. Doesn't stop me but it does slow me down some. Just watch the different calibres that can be a problem too.

It's an addiction. I think and sleep about the guns I have and want to buy Congrats on your collection. Buy more. Rehab weather you like it or not is TREADUE JUSTINE FCKER

Problem alright. That's not nearly enough pistols yet! You know you didn't expect us to help you slow down! I'm not even going to tell you how many pistols I have lest you go without clothes trying to catch up.;)

haha ive solved the problem with food, i just dont eat food anymore :)

got onto this stuff called Soylent, its 100% of every single vitamin, mineral, fiber, etc, etc your body needs and 0% excess, been on this for 5 months straight with the occasion eating out with friends, ive never felt better in my life, im more awake, more aware, think a little faster, weight is perfect bmi and has not moved more than 2 lbs up or down.

Agreed - this stuff is great. I've been using it for two meals a day for the last two months (I still eat one "real" meal a day) and my athletic performance has definitely improved. I find that the protein to fat ratio is a bit poor, so the one meal I do eat is always very very lean with high protein (lean cut of steak or chicken breast, with veggies always).

I am at the cusp of switching to exclusively consuming 100% Soylent, but will have to find another way to augment the protein. Perhaps mixing Soylent 1.5 (the powdered stuff) with protein powder...

I should go on EI and let the government buy me guns and food. Fuk work

Relax…
We all work hard to pay into the EI fund through pay deductions.
It's not an endless perpetual supply of money, maximum duration to receive this benefit is under one year.
People who are fired or quit their jobs do not qualify.

There is plenty of negative stereotypes / stigma attached to people who depend on Government aid (which is paid for with our taxes and a necessary support as the economy does not always provide enough jobs). Let's not extend this negativity toward EI recipients, it's a necessary support for Canadians.
