The Camo models have the cheap Benelli paint dip that chips off like crazy, my bro has the M2000 in waterfowl camo with 3 barrels. My dad bought it for him before the Stoeger name was popular and got it all for $650 taxes in.
Its a good gun for the price, the recoil is a lot heavier than an SX3 or Maxus but it isn't made to be an SX3 or Maxus. It's a budget semi that works.
My brother has taken 2 deer with the smooth bore rifle sight barrel and has taken a few ducks and geese with the 28" barrel and I hope to get him out turkey hunting with the shorter 20 or so inch turkey barrel.
Has never failed on him.

They are junk, Glad you are having good luck with yours. I have shot one that was a club gun and only saw light target loads. It beat itself apart after a few thousand rounds.

Yes, because I practice with my hunting guns, I shoot a few thousand rounds a year at clays,pigeons and starlings. I only shoot maybe300- 450 rounds a year at game.
If I shoot that many rounds a year I would like my gun to last 10 years at least, not 2.
That's funny, I had a M2000 a few years ago that gave me perfect performance with zero hicups. Others I know have had the same results. And the mailman just brought me another M2000 yesterday that I'm sure will give me the same level of satisfaction. The same cannot be said about the Winchester 1300.....

There are 3 1200/1300's at the club that my employer won in various clay bird events over the years. I believe we changed out some choke tubes this year on them. The have been around for maybe 15 years, the Stoeger has been around for 5 at the most it has managed to knock it self apart twice.
Your mileage may vary, hope your Stoeger gives you many years of service. Why did you get rid of your old one?
I do know of one fellow who has one that he likes. Just like any gun I'm sure there are some lemons.
Edit: Looked the guns up, one had a fixed skeet choke, we switched out an ejector on it. Of the three two were 20's.

I have that problem too. Nearly all of the guns that have left my possesion leave me feeling that way.

I have a buddy with one that has had numerous problems with his, from jamming to not cycling - it must be a lemon!
he does not shoot high volume , BTW, maybe 200 rounds of trap ammo a year and 100 rounds of steel.

I have had my Max4 camo M2000 for 3 seasons now and it has been flawless ever since I broke it in with half a dozen boxes of 3" magnums.
I have read that the first ones out had some problems (older models with the white front bead) but the newer ones with the red fiber optic front bead like mine are good to go! I just did a complete total detail cleaning of my gun for the first time last week end. I am still amazed at how easy it is to take down and how great and easy it is to take the bolt apart and clean.
All lubed up, the action is like butter. Ready for spring Turkeys!!!
I would recommend one for the price and performance.
