I think I want a full-stocked... something.

I have a craving for a nice-ish 22LR in a full-length stock; something to match my Sako Bavarian Carbine.

What am I looking for? Is it a CZ 452 FS (I have a 452 Varmint, and it's nice-ish)? Ruger 77/22 International (I also have a 77/22 standard, and again, nice enough)? Or something else?

Did Sako ever make a 22LR in a full stock? How about Anschutz?

Would prefer to keep the price tag under $1000, and I definitely want good open sights. Would also prefer a Euro/Bavarian style hogback style stock if possible.

That was definitely my first thought, I'm just wondering what else fits the template?

I had a 453 American, and really liked the single-set trigger, but I can't find any info that says CZ made the 453 in a full stock model.

Both are distributor exclusives (Lipseys) and were never made in 22 lr blued. However, that project is being discussed. Sometimes it takes years though...

yup, another vote for the CZ here.... I would look for another 452 as the tangent sights are superior, imo.

keep in mind the possibility of long grain warp, it happens, particularly on used ones for some reason....

I have found the 452 FS to be my most accurate cz. At one time I had that, a 455 FS, 1022 international, cooey 82, and a few mossbergs. Then I finally convinced a great friend to sell me his full stocked anschutz. I only have that one and a few mossbergs now. The 7722 is nice too. Always considered that one too, I like the look with the stainless. It would match nicely with the stainless ruger rsi in 308

I had the 10-22 Walnut Int'l, replaced it with a CZ 452 (which was extremely accurate) sold it, bought an Anschutz 22 WMR and then a Steyr Zephyr.

Cz452 is you can find one. I settled for a 455 with extremely nice wood. Sold it though. The guy I sold it to says its extremely accurate.

None of my two dozen have had any stock warp issues... and none of the CZ shooters that I know have had issues either... however wood is grainy... and issues can potentially occur over time, especially in environments with hugely fluctuating humidity.

One more vote for a 452 FS. They are so much fun to shoot with open sights or you can install a smaller 2-7 that fits behind the rear sight. I absolutely love mine. You will have to be patient to find one on EE.

Bought my dad a 452 FS for his birthday one year.
Leupold 2-7 RF fits it perfectly.

I do believe he had a Krico in a FS many years ago, it's one of the rifles he really regretted trading.
