This is the oldest gun I own, a Crosman 1077 pellet rifle. I bought it new when I was about 16 and it's been sitting for well over a decade, I don't even know if it'll fire anymore or if the seals would have dried out by now. I pulled it out of one of my cabinets the other day and I thought "Hey, wouldn't it be fun to try and shoot some chickens with this old thing?" So, that's just what I might do.

Why do you think a ten year old rifle wouldn't work? Pellet or otherwise. I have a Slavia 612 .177 pellet rifle that I got used from a cousin 40 years ago and it works fine. Well, last time I tried it.

As Yogi said, ten years is nothing. I have a Crossman 760 from when I was a kid and the last time I tried it, it worked fine, and it's around 30 yrs. Old.

Oh for sure, I'm certain it'll work fine. I was going to buy a pack of Co2 today but never got to the store. This thing ran perfect in it's day and I'm anxious to try it out on somthing bigger than a gopher.
