I think my Leupold scope is busted!!!

I was at the range today and noticed a difference between my 2 Leupold scopes. When i looked through my VXI on 9 power, my targets looked smaller than when I looked through my VXII on 9 power. Is there something wrong with my VXI?? Both are 3x9x40.

Try screwing in the focus eg the ocular/eyepiece after loosening the set ring. If it is at it's maximum extension (eg for guys who need reading glasses) it will cause the image to look smaller. This is a significant problem with the Leupold scopes as they don't adjust well for folks getting to an age where reading glasses are a necessity. I believe some of their more recent models with the "euro" style fast twist focus work better... they refused to accept that this was a problem for many years -- too bad.
