I like BLR's, but the stainless laminate is tacky.

It was a bad idea from the start. A better idea would be a matte black BLR.

I would use those two thumbs up to cover the eyes.

All "Long Action" BLR's are ugly, stainless even more so. The appeal with Brownings (if it's your thing) is the high gloss deep bluing and laq. finish on good walnut.

I can openly admit i did it one worse . When I had my BLR, the only Scope I had available was a Silver 3-9 trophy that was on my 22.
Needless to say, I didnt shoot a whole box of shells out of it, and I sold it to a fellow gunnut.

First of all that's a BAD picture. I like the look of the stainless/synth plus they will become more sought after in years to come. But it doesn't compare to the blued/wood, like bisonhd said.

Yet the Marlin 1895GS looks fantastic to me... I think it's the gray laminate that throws it off. The again, I have a stainless/gray lamimate T/C Omega and that looks fine...

I think it's just the fact that it's a BLR that makes it ugly!
