I thought they said Ruger Mark 3 22/45 mag doesn't drop free?

Wife has a stock Mark III 22/45 bull barrel.

Of her six mags, 4 drop free slick as pig chit, other two are a little sticky. Have not worked on the 2 that are slow but I would have to say that any comment about mags not dropping free on this gun are false...at least to my experience. YMMV.

They don't usually drop free. I'd say the disconnect is either malfunctioning or has been removed and a bushing installed. Is it brand new or just new to you?

i know the 22/45 LITES dont drop free because of the disconnect but i cant speak to the normal 22/45's.

I had one of those (normal SS not Lite) and they needed to have the Mag disconnect removed.
I had to return it because the dovetail machined for the rear-sight was not
perfectly horizontal. Ruger gunsmith at their Quebec Warranty Center confirmed that.
They had stopped the 22/45 Stainless Steel production at the time so I accepted
a 22/45 Lite. Hated it from day one. Too light. I finally exchanged it to someone who
wanted one for his daughter and I got a regular blued 22/45 in exchange.
