Hey guys, I went to P&D today, and they had one of their customized, accurized SOCOM Norc m14s there. Since I am an impulsive retard, I bought it. I pick it up tomorrow, I can't wait!

The 20/5 mag is a little worn, but the 5 rounder it came with is brand new. I just think it looks cooler with the 20.

range report to follow shortly.

I paid 1500$ for it. A lot of you guys could build one for way cheaper, but I am impulsive and happy. I don't even know what they did to this thing, but the trigger pull is awesome and I have heard that these P&D match socom kits are plenty accurate.

Heading out to shoot gophers with it shortly :D

socom m14 gopher shoot? Slight over kill? Not that I would know anything about that or shoot squirells with 12g slugs.

Let us know how you shoot goes as that is a sweet looking rifle!

, the old lady is gonna kill me

:D Been there, done that. Eventually they get over it, just get used to cooking your own dinner for a while......

Its worth it!

Nice Rifle, I'm jealous and I hate you! (in a nice way):D

took it out today. Thing shoots like a dream!! It was windy as hell today so I didn't take the time to really dial in the irons. hit a gopher with fmj 7.62x51. (don't worry safety nazis, I wasn't blasting fmj all over the place, it was a safe shot). Anyways m14 GOOD!

7.62x51 GOOD

7.62x39, useless to me now.

This is my new uber accurate do it all rifle. Now I gotta pick up some 110gr VMAX varmint rounds.

Should I scope it? is there any way to mount optics without the need of a cheek rest?

MAY NOT BE GOOD!

Be careful. 110-grain .308 Winchester cartridges may not be loaded to work well in an M14.

Hey Tmonkey;

You can mount a scout scope on the barrel and not have to put a cheek rest on the gun... I'm going to put a red dot on mine, mounted with a Arms #22 quick release ring and a Aimpoint M2 clone...

Cheers
Jay
