I want a Ruger American in .450 Bushmaster. WHERE???

You accused me of breaking the law no one ever has done that to me anywhere before now you want to talk nice you really are a special kind of stup*d...
you should read your posts again so you get an idea of the picture you painted of yourself.
I carried a 4.25" and 7.5" Ruger Super Redhawk's in 454 Casull for several years with my remote area ATC they work fine = I'll say no more...

My black bear load because I wanted expansion were the 240gr and 300gr XTP-Mags when I was working in grizzly country I was loaded with 360gr-390gr-405gr WLNGC's the 405gr loads did 1330fps out of the 4.25" barreled SRH.

Oh man that post was super good humour.

How do I respond to that set of questions/comments?

I have to ask you Brian if a tree falls in the forest and there is no one there to hear it did it make a noise?

:slap:

:)
on one hand you say you have an ATC and know your pistol rounds perform on game and next thing you suggest when asked how the aftermath of said incidents went you reply with:

Care to elaborate since your post is clearly painting a different picture than you want?

Posturing aside the data is on the web, 10 inch 460 loads are within 100 fps of 450 bm loads. Same bullets same powder. If you want a comparison on rifles a trip to " real guns" will show you the 454 casull rossi and 450 bm American are practically twins. Same bullets same powders, I'm confident my handloads will hold up.

Now the only thing that is not up for debate is who is a better hunter, I will be enjoying tag soup this year. Cheers and good job on your deer

10" is a long barrel for an atc carry IMO

I agree with you wolf I don't want to see this thread get shut down I'll lmao at but not react to the cluel*ss ones posts in this thread anymore...

I guess I would appear clueless to certain individuals for actually reporting all discharges related to my prospectors ATC permit as required by law.

Has this thread devolved too far to actually post a reply to the original question? Hopefully not...Cabela's in Winnipeg had an American in .450BM when I was there a couple days back.

I held some of these Ruger American rifles yesterday. The actions seemed smooth to me. I looked at the American Ranch in 308 Win., I was hoping it was the 450 Bushmaster version. Not the point of the thread. The Ranch seems like it would be a great little brush gun in 450BM.

I have the 450, 308 and 7.62x39. The actions are OK, nothing as smooth as a Tikka, Sauer or Styer, they also have that "zipper” noise everyone complains about.

Lots of guns feel rough compared to the Tikka. I feel like they get a bad rap because they seemed pretty good to me. What zipper noise? Sounded fine to me.

It's the machining on the bolt that makes the noise when cycled, you will find this complaint almost everywhere online. All 3 of mine make it in varying degree of how audible it is

I bought a Ruger American Ranch rifle in 450 Bushmaster for $680.00 plus 100 Hornady brass and a spare mag from P&D Ent in Edm today they have the dies on order they will ship all of it at the same time as soon as the dies come in.

First thing I'm going to do is remove that butt ugly muzzle brake can't imagine a reason to leave it on for such a small cartridge.

LOL... I'm seeing the good humour has continued...

WOW dies are finally in = rifle - brass - dies - spare mag are being shipped tomorrow.

I have a matte Leupold VX2 2-7x33mm LR reticle scope that I bought off the EE a few months ago and PRW rings sitting in the safe ready to install.

Now to figure out the best powder to load my 535gr WLNGC cast bullets with... :)
