I want a scope!

I want (wife says I don't "need") a scope for my new gopher gun! I was going to put a 4200 on it but now I'm thinking Vortex thanks to all the chatter on here as of late :p. It's so easy to overwhelmed with options but I'm thinking Viper 6.5-20x50. Mistake?

Juan has one for sale for a decent deal. I have one on my 223 and like it although I wish the cross hairs were thinner...

I would pick a Bushnell Elite 4200 made in Japan by LOW scope over a made in Philippines scope any day.

That's what I was thinking, I've only used Bushnell in the past. I was contemplating taking the Elite off my .257roy put it on the .338 edge, and getting a cheaper model of Vortex for the .257roy.

I have had a 6.5-20X50 Viper for about 4 years, been on several rifles right up to my buddies 338, I have never had a problem with it and I feel comfortable saying it is worth every penny you would pay for it. The PSTs are great too, with a few more features that you may or may not "NEED".

Should drop by :D We have tons of Bushnell in stock from the Banners up to the Elite 6400 and should have a huge shipment of Vortex by Tuesdayish.
 
Bushnell sent me an Elite 3000 3x9x50 with fine x-hairs and a pop up post to replace an old Scopechief.
Just a turn of a ring on the rear of the scope to make it come and go.
Fast focus as well. Great clear scope. Not sure if they offer this gizmo on higher
magnifications or not.
 
I have owned and used a Vortex Viper and pretty much every model in the Bushnell line up. I can tell you IMO the Vortex are better then the Trophy but not as nice as the 3200.

Get a 6500! or a Sightron from Mystic
