I want to by an AR (M4 type) and have called/ emailed a few of my favorite, and better known, dealers who advertise them.

Funny thing is; they don’t actually have them to sell – not in stock anyway. Most are tentatively awaiting delivery sometime in the distant future.

Now, I know that most dealers will in fact get their deliveries, that being said I’ve been burned before.

I want one badly and I want one now (I know, I know, - Impetuous youth). :p

So my question is; who has a NIB AR15 (M4 type) rifle, in stock (ready to ship) under $1400.00?

P.S. I don’t have any contempt for those dealers that I called. I understand that they would “love” to keep every rifle they advertise in stock, but for whatever reason this just isn't cost effective.

Dealers; if you’ve got one please PM me with the price and specs.

14.5" barrels are hard to come by these days... I don't think the US allows export of any barrels under 16"...

That being said, a 16" barrel with a carbine gas system looks ghey.

Ideally I would like a 14.5" but a 16" would be alright if it had the mid-length hand guards.

Heck, if the price was right I'd take a 16" with the short gas system and fixed carry handle. I'd even consider the 10" ones but they seem out of my price range.

I'm not as picky as I am cheap and I just love that "new gun" smell.

I just received an email from Questar and I am considering the Bushmaster Patrolman's Carbine (weebit pricey) that they have in stock. Everyone seems very happy with their Questar dealings.

But 16" matches with my pair of candy apple red Crocs, along with my pink lip gloss and hair with blonde highlights.. and... ;)

M4 AVAILABLITY PROBLEM SOLVED

I just put 80 rounds down range (TSE range) on my spanking new STAG-15 model 1. TSE has them in the racks and ready to sell.

It was a toss up between the Bushmaster and the STAG, it would seem that both are fine rifles with the Stag being a little cheaper.

Man do I need some practice, still, I was getting dime sized groups at 25meters (nothing to brag about – I know).

I can not believe how tight the upper fits on the lower. I used a punch to gently tap out the rear take-down pin. I did this twice; once to clean before firing, and once to clean after firing. It started to loosen up a little after that. Maybe a couple of more times and I can remove it by hand or with a shell.

Are all Stag’s this tight?

Anyways, I like it a lot. They've got a pretty good selection of them too, they even have some lefties.

P.S> While I was there they had just put out a bunch of 5.56mm ammo in the military ammo tins (don’t know what they are called) anyways it seemed pretty reasonable for $295 (I think). I may get a box when my wife goes to Edmonton this weekend, and leaves me at home alone with my credit card and a new rifle - (BAD COMBO LADIES).

Check with James on that ammo, I seem to recall him posting that it wasn't good for anything above a 1:7 twist and your AR is probably 1:9
