No wait , LOL ,that's not right. I want a IBMC . (Itsy Bitsy Mossberg Carbine)
One of those short barreled , swivels on the side of the stock , pull down forearm , peep sighted , model 142-a.
I had one as a teenager. I haven't seen one in years . (The "a" model with the aperture sight) It's a bolt action.
I know this isn't the EE section , and I'm not expecting to buy a gun through this thread.
Just wondering if anybody see's these things around anymore in gun stores , or gun shows ?
I go to most of the local gun shows in my area, and I see lots of mossbergs there, but haven't noticed any of these. Do you folks see them around? I see them on the US online gun sites , for reasonable prices.
Maybe it's just one of those things . Quit looking for them , and one will appear.
Or start looking for something else instead , like an old shotgun , and then the sky will open up and it will rain .22's. LOL
 
Not overly familiar with the various model types as I'm not that fond of old Mossbergs...but..old Mossbergs seem to pop-up in the EE all the time. I guess not that particular model? I cleaned-up a 152 that belonged to a late friend, got a scope mounted/zeroed, etc. The thing chugged along pretty good, was decently accurate (I didn't dwell on trying different ammo types) but I think I was most impressed by the build quality, and simplicity of the bolt design.
 
I have one, t bolt brass finger / trigger guard, 7 shot mag, peeps and grooved for scope, carbine, with fold down mono pod. The brass guard is perfect, nicely done bit of bling by some former owner, stock is a warm dark color but has a repaired crack in grip area.

Really, humm maybe thats a default, could explain why ive never gotten any messages, lol
EDIT:
I had a look at my settings and Im not blocking anyone, dont know why that came back to you, even says you have to be a team member to block pm, Im not a team member. Any how the mossy isnt for sale, they are nice carbines. Posting a pic on this forum is a pain.

Contact 3screwsloose. He had a 142-k on the EE. I believe it had the sights you are looking for. I do not know if he sold it or not.

I really thought , with a title like that , I'd have some luck with a few leads. They can't be that hard to find. It's a Mossberg for cripes sake! lol
I guess after Christmas , I'll put a proper WTB ad up on the EE.
