I want an XCR.

Its a MAGAZINE btw...this is not the gun/the companys fault. its the low paid, uncarring packager to blame. I am SURE this problem will be taken care of for you if it was the wrong magazine put in the package.

Wow ,, I guess I picked the wrong forum ! My poor spelling and use of abbreviations will have me banned in no time . :welcome:

Let's be clear ,, I'm not taking a crap on the gun. I'm asking if this has happened to any XCR owners . I don't even own the damn thing but I was, and still am, interested in buying one dispite my buddies first experience .

Your buddy used the wrong magazine for his new XCR which may have led to broken parts / failure, and you are asking us if that happens often. I don't think it does, and if it does people might be too embarassed to admit to it! :p

The 7.62x39 mags I received from Wolverine supply were clearly marked, just as my 6.8s. for s**ts and giggles I loaded a bunch of .223 in them, they sure didn't seem happy in there, but I guess if you were all excited and didn't really check you might make a mistake like that. That being said, my XCR has been great, short of some crown issues on the 6.8 barrel that I've done a bit of a repair on till the end of hunting season, after which the barrel will go in for a bit of work. 5.56 / .223 barrel, bolt has been great.
