I want One or Two powders for 270WSM, 3006. ( & 300Wby)

I'm looking for a good all round powder for my hunting rifles
in my 270wsm I use 130, 140150 gr Nosler partition /Accubond and Barnes
In my 3006 I use 165 and 180 gr Nosler, Barnes or Hornady interlock
In my 300 weatherby 180 gr Hornady interlock, Accubond or 200 gr Speer 200

Powders I use include
Superperformance, H4895, H1000, h4831SC, Retumbo, R22, RL15, IMR4007SC, IMR4350, H4350, Varget

I would like to get it down to one or two (3 max) powders.
I was thinking that IMR4350 would be a good powder for all 3 but some say its temperature sensitive and that Hodgdon is more stable.

With hunting in Ontario the max distance you generally ever get is 400 yards so I don't need 1000 yard accuracy
Thoughts/ suggestions?

My thoughts: for bullet weights from 130 grains to 200, in cases of differing capacity like the -06 and .300 Wby, and caliber differences you are planning, there is no "good" choice for all of them. You can make many powders work if you want, but compromises like those that will be necessary make all the advantages of loading your own disappear.

The whole point of loading your own ammunition is to make it ideal for your gun and the job at hand. One powder for all those possibilities won't do that.

I reload all Weatherby's calbers with it ( it' the only powder that replicates factory ammo speed and way beehond)

Out of your list H4831SC or RL22, and I prefer the 22. - dan

Might have to be H4831SC since it's been a long time since I've seen RL22 for sale

Why I buy in large amounts. Every time the US invades someone new it becomes harder to get loading supplies . - dan

I think the RL22 would get them all done - maybe not to the best for each.
The 300 Weatherby would be the outlier - I prefer the IMR7828 with 180 gr for that, have not had the best luck with RL22 or 19 with 180 gr AB
30-06 would be ok with 4831, but better with 4350 or win760, maybe RL19.
270 wsm I prefer the 4350 but I think 4831 would work ok.

Im thinking if I go with these 3 powders I should be able to cover the calibers and bullet weights Im using. Im not even going to consider Alliant powder since it is almost impossible to get

Having good luck with 7828 and 4831sc in 300wby (which I believe is your old Vanguard), and h4895 should be perfect for the 3006, the hodgon 4895 will be more temperature stable compared to the imr

Well. I think I'm going to sell off my 300 wby later this year so I'm going with an 8 lb of IMR 4350 which covers my bullet weights for my 270 wsm and 3006 .... Now to do enough target practice to begin to burn up all the other powders ...
